Has been involved as a local leader with Minor Baseball over the past four decades

Has continued to play lead roles on the club executive, as a coach, as a trainer to upcoming younger coaches, and lead the annual Bird Family Tournament that attract teams from across the lower mainland

As a coach; represented Poco in the BC Provincial Championships 15 times.

Coached 52 different PoCo Minor teams over the past 39 years. 

Bronze metal winner in the 2004 BC Summer Games 

Western Canadian Midget AAA Champions in 2007
